Or is it the other way around?
In any case, some weeks ago or so, Globe wetted my appetite for video streaming by announcing the creation and partnership of a new video-on-demand, Internet-based streaming service called HOOQ. Together with top international brand names like Warner Bros. and Sony Entertainment, but notwithstanding local counterparts like Viva Films, Regal Entertainment, GMA and ABS-CBN.
You see, I’m an Internet guy and that also means I’ve terminated my cable subscription more than six months ago to go pure Internet – live streaming, free or on-demand subscription, YouTube or Vimeo, and proxy server services. This was one announcement I wasn’t going to miss.
So, what wetted my appetite? The price. For as low as P199 a month video-on-demand service that has offline capabilities (meaning I could opt to watch the movie offline, later). I mean, P199 a month? Could you go any more wrong if you did make a mistake at all? That’s just a Venti Mocha Frappuccino! Or a one-time, man-sized lunch meal!
In the tradition of “A picture paints a thousand words,” here is what HOOQ has to offer you.
I’m going for broke and getting the P499 plan – that’s what a real, bonafide couch potato would do, right?
