Why the Philippines is the World’s Top Call Center Country →  January 14, 2012

The Philippines is the top call center country in the world for outsourcing customer service and support not only because it is the only English-speaking country in East Asia but as well as its American style of doing business, character traits of resiliency and frugality, and a submissive, non-confrontational culture of literally respecting everyone who is older in age. Put that all together and you've got one of the most respectful, "the customer is always right," and "try as much as you can to solve it" type of service delivery in the world.

Blenz – A Great Canadian Coffee Shop in Manila →  August 1, 2009

Blenz Canadian Coffee Shop opened in June or July of this year at the Solaris One building along dela Rosa Street in Makati City. The barista at this cafe said they also have a branch in SM Megamall and another one in the Mall of Asia (or “MOA” as many here call it). I also walked passed by the Megamall branch one Sunday when I had a dinner engagement with my godfather and co-birthday celebrant Jun Bernardo; it’s on the second floor in the middle of buildings A and B.

Like what the subtitle of Howard Schultz’s book says, “One cup at a time,” I strongly recommend going to Starbucks for the start of something great in your career, business and the things you do great! Why on earth would I say that Starbucks is a great place to do your work?
